My Kids Got Busted

Last summer, I had a bit of cash saved, a family vacation planned and no definite destination. I put the matter to vote, and Las Vegas won.

We should have gone to New York. The minute we landed in Vegas, I knew I made a mistake. The kids complained incessantly about the heat, the “monotonous” desert view, and the fact that they weren’t allowed in the casino. And the moment my back was turned, they sneaked past the guards and started playing slots!!! They could have gone away with it, too, but they won – the coins clinked, someone noticed, they got reported, and I got reprimanded for negligence!

To all the parents out there, I urge you to find a family-friendly destination if you’re planning a family trip.
