I need to get a 12V+ constant, 12V+ ignition and ground. How can I remove the ignition tumbler to get access to these wires?
Removing the tumbler will not give you access to the wiring. If the truck has a 12 volt system you can go right to the battery for your 12 volt constant. Be sure to use an in-line fuse right at the battery. You should be able to find switched accessory feed at the fuse box. If the truck has a 24 volt system; you will need to consult an owners manual.

Well there are two different types of devices you can use for this I would recommend an On demand device you pay per locate so it doesn’t have to be tracked all of the time so it saves you on the service charges.
I would chose a company that has there own website that you can log into and also good tech support. price is a little more expensive for the unit but you will save if you don’t have a monthly fee. around 299.99 is what I have seen on an on demand.
now for a continuous tracker its cheaper for the device but your looking at a monthly charge of at least $20 plus and $20 is being generous.
