Stripes, checks, florals and prints, when it comes to men’s shirts this season, these are plethora of choices in all colors of the rainbow. While looking as though one has stepped off the set of Joseph wearing a technicolor dream-coat might not be everyone’s style. The good news is you can be as bold or as subtle as you like. For those who are used to conservative stripes and checks, try Madras checks in soft colors, or black shirts with brightly colored stripes. They are easily dressed up with a blazer and tailored trousers, or dressed down for jeans with a T-shirt underneath. Or trendily, over the shirt! White shirts will always look crisp and smart, but for a twist on the traditional, select white on white textured fabrics. And, for those who want to stand out from the crowd there are bold, bright, shirts in red and pink, which would turn heads. Floral shirts are in! Large purple roses, and slightly more conservative blue and green Liberty prints are popular. There has been a big switch to 100 per cent cotton by shirt manufacturers. Ignore the price tags because that smooth fabric gives you the million-bucks look.
