Christmas is a happy time…but it also brings a lot of waste. The manufactors like to keep things in boxes which may make things easier to wrap but it isn’t easier on the environment. Here are some ways you can make this Christmas a lot greener.

Instead of sending Christmas invites through the mail, use email.

Shop at second-hand stores or flea markets you can find some high quality used things for good prices.

When hosting your Christmas party use the China, instead of the paper plates.

Donate your unwanted gifts to people or places that can use them. I am sure a woman’s shelter would love women’s things. It can be lonely with no presents on Christmas.

For a twist on Christmas, instead of wrapping the gifts hide them and make it a treasure hunt.

Use old newspapers, comics or tea towels for wrapping paper. This will save money and the enviroment because of recycling.
