Many production will always be pack by something. Be reshape by something so we could see it. Our eyes can catch it and then the respond from eye will send it to brain. It said that brain can execute will u like or dislike with what you have seen for 2,5 second. That’s why, packaging actually is important. It is not only about style but how you catch the brand awareness of customers.

How can you make them knowing about your product if your package is not eye catching ? Sometimes you don’t need to force your marketing to do the program of what we call socializing if we have a “different” package among others. Customer somehow will attract by it shape or color. Even though the products among ten product on stack at supermarket. But people can realize that your product is there.

In Indonesia by itself, shape and packaging hasn’t been concern about it. They still concern about the taste, and the name. While outside Indonesia, people are really pay attention on packaging. Before internet booming, packaging only need to change their shape for 5-7 years. But now, with lots of technology and internet, people demand to get a faster change. It needs 2 years to stay on last packaging.

But what packaging really talk about ? Shape ? Color? Or material ? You can choose every combination if you like. There will always lots of options. Perhaps like toothpaste, it still on tube shape isn’t it. But who knows that few years again, they will introduce the better material.

We can see the war of packaging on drink market. Or probably on Soap market. They are hoped with new packaging will attract new interesting on their product and improve sales.
