What device is needed to connect multiple video components to multiple different screens/projectors?
I want to be able to connect multiple devices (computer, DVD player, etc) to multiple different screens and/or projectors. I think I need some sort of video matrix. Does anyone know the best video matrix to connect a devices via BNC, VGA, and Component? I also need VGA and BNC out. Thanks!
Ok, so here is what I need to do. I need to connect 2 video cameras (1 BNC connector for each), a DVD player (component), and 2 computers (both VGA) to a single device (switcher I assume). I need the device to be able to output to 2 VGA (I guess I could use a VGA amplifier/splitter). I also need to be able to preview each input source.
I assume I will need a mixture of a video matrix and a video switcher, right?
You definitely need a matrix switch but without details it’s impossible to say what you need. Mixing BNC and VGA and component is going to be a challenge. I suspect you will end up with a multi-format matrix switch and (probably) one or more converters.

The adapter you listed has a BNC connection on one side, so that adapter will not work. You need an adapter that has two female RCA composite connectors, like this:

Then, yes, that set up will work, even at 35 feet, as long as you use good quality cables, and don’t run the cable right next to other cables that could cause crossover interference, like power cables.
